Photoshop CS5- Change The color of your Car in Photoshop
This is probably one of the easiest ways to change the cars color in Photoshop.
This method of changing a cars color does not require using any selection tools, we will
use the original car color with a Hue/Saturation Adjustments layer to select the body of the car.
These procedures do not work on grey/silver/black/white cars.
Step 1- Open an image of a car.
Step 2-Click on the Adjustments layer button and select Hue/Saturation
Click on the drop down menu that says master, and choose the color that represents your images car Color.
To make sure you selected the right color slide the saturation slider to the left. If your cars color turns grey or loses its color you have selected the right color setting. set your saturation slider back to 0.
Step 3- In the Hue/Saturation adjustments panel move the Hue
Slider to achieve the color you desire. You can then use the Saturation slider to control the tone or punch of the color.
Optional Step 4- If you have similar color objects in the background of the car that change with the car, you Can use the mask (click on It)
that is on the Hue/Saturation adjustments layer to remove any unwanted recoloring by using your brush and painting black were you want to remove the color effects of the layer.
