Dreamweaver is software that comes with the Adobe Suite. It is used by web developers and designers to create web pages and to insert elements onto the web pages that are being created. In addition to allowing people to insert photos, art and sound files, Dreamweaver also gives users the ability to insert animated objects. Some of the most commonly used animated objects used in Dreamweaver are Flash files, which feature moving attributes and animation.

  1. Open a New Document

    • Open Dreamweaver by selecting it from your start menu if using a PC or dock if using a Mac. Once Dreamweaver opens, open a new page by selecting "Ctrl" + "N." When the list of options appears, click on the the option that says "New HTML Document." A blank HTML page will open.

    Save the File

    • Save the HTML file to your computer before you begin doing work to insert animated objects. To save the HTML file, select "Ctrl" + "S" and choose to save the file in an intuitive place on your computer. Saving early and often can reduce the possibility of losing your work as you continue to work on the page.

    Use Design Mode

    • Click on the tab on the top left of the screen that says "Design." This allows you to see the page in a way that is similar to how it will look when published. Failing to click this tab will allow users to see only the HTML code on the page.

    Insert the Animated Object

    • Mouse to the menu bar at the top of the page in the middle that says "Insert." Click on this menu. When the drop-down menu opens, select "Media" and "Flash." A "Select File" window will then appear.

    Apply the Animation

    • Navigate to where you have saved your animated object and select it by clicking on it. Then click on the "OK" button on the open window to apply the animated object to the open page. A "Flash Properties" window will open next.

    Finish & Preview

    • Enter the desired dimensions of the animated object into the height and width fields in this window and select "OK." Save your file by selecting the "Ctrl" + "S" keys. Test that the animated object will appear correctly by selecting the "Preview" icon at the top of the page. This icon looks like a tiny globe. The page is now ready to be uploaded to your blog or website.

  2. ',image: '',flash: ''},google_image_size : '336x280'});AdblockPlus.detect(function(usesABP) {if (usesABP) {googleAds.overrideAd('GoogleAdsense336x280', { google_ad_channel: 'int_web_design_development,text,suggested8,Art6' });} });
